Thank you to everyone who came to the inaugural AGM of the Sligo Bay Catchment River Trust CLG om 30th March 2026, which was held in the Sligo Park Hotel.
The standing Directors and Officers were re-elected, and a new Director taking up post a few weeks ago.
A new positition of Vice Chairman was also created to help share the load a little, with our very busy Chairman.
As well as the usual business of an AGM, our accountant presented the Trust’s financial details in a much more interesting way than is usual at this type of event.
I think it made the financial side of the AGM much more understandable than rows of unending figures.
The accountant also gave a very brief update on the Trust’s application for Charitable Status.
Hopefully we will be able to share more inews on that in the very near future.
Before the AGM concluded, the Trust’s Project Development Officer gave a brief presentation, outlining the future projects that are in the pipeline, if funding is secured. Hopefully, we should hear about our funding allocations very soon.
